Here's our testimonial ...
"My husband, John, found Nancy and her IvoryGold golden retrievers in March 2008.
We had just lost our beloved golden retriever, Casey, to cancer, so John posted a question on the Golden Retriever Forum, asking how we could find a breeder that had puppies who were less prone to cancer.
Several posters on the forum recommended IvoryGold, and directed us to Nancy's Web site. John and I went through her entire site, and remarked to each other how surprised we were to see ultrasounds prominently displayed. He then discovered Nancy's YouTube video channel: <http://youtube.com/user/ivorygoldens>
It took only one YouTube video and we were smitten (we're both techy). We looked at each other afterwards and instantly agreed that IvoryGold was our breeder of choice, even though she's located in Florida and is obviously more than a 4-hour drive from New Jersey. Originally we thought that Florida was too far away. One of Nancy's videos convinced us that the distance was insignificant - it's all about finding the right breeder.
Nancy's videos show her unique approach of raising and communicating how she raises her litters. It was clear to both of us that she is no ordinary breeder, and since we now "had to get" one of her puppies, John quickly completed the application.
When the puppies were 6 weeks old, I flew down to pick one out. What a hard choice! All were adorable and exactly like you see each week in the videos. I realized later that I didn't really need to fly down to pick out a puppy - my motivation was more about starting my bond with one of these wonderful dogs.
We picked Kayleigh (aka, Miss Pink Stripe), because John wanted a "dog with spunk." So, we picked the alpha female - smart as a whip, yet always ready to cuddle with her littermates.
When Kayleigh was 8 weeks old, it was time to bring her home to New Jersey. Again, not necessary to make the flight, but we wanted her to come back "in coach" rather than being shipped. No problem with arranging this with Nancy. Also, although she missed her littermates on the drive to the airport, once we got there, she was very mellow and ready to settle down. She was such a good dog - not a peep through the entire flight!
The next day, our Vet remarked repeatedly how extremely impressed she was with Nancy's level of documentation, and commented how lucky we were to have found a breeder so dedicated and thorough.
I would go back to Nancy again to get another puppy in a heartbeat. Kayleigh is such a joy. Here are a few pictures of her: one of her at Tampa airport, waiting for the thunderstorm to pass and our flight to take off; then a photo of her the very next day in our backyard; and finally one of her at 10 weeks old. She brings us such joy.
Thank you, Nancy!"
